My Background
I am a recent graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, with a bachelor of arts in Political Science and Global Studies having earned departmental honors in both majors. I hold the title and honor of being the youngest paid lecturer at UC Berkeley and in the United States. My work experience includes time spent at the United States House of Representatives in Washington D.C., as director of communications for several congressional campaigns, and most recently as a member of the internal operations team for Alvea, a biotech startup responsible for creating the first shelf-stable COVID-19 vaccine. While at UC Berkeley, I helped recharter and establish Effective Altruists of UC Berkeley: a college university chapter affiliated with the Center for Effective Altruism, during which time I served as President.
In addition to my work, I volunteer with restorative justice and mediation boards in his local community. When not working or volunteering, Dylan likes to watch classic films, freelance as a certified sommelier, and people-watch at the park with a nice latte.
